We collect your name, email address, location data and any information you choose to add to the platform in order to facilitate and improve your experience.

Other users will be able to see anything you add in your profile or in a training session.

We share some of your data with Google Analytics. If required to do so by law, we will share your data with the appropriate authorities.

We hold your data for as long as you are a registered user.

3. What is ‘personal data’?


Personal data is any data which can be used to identify you. This includes your name, contact details and location data, as well as anything related to your religious and political views, ethnicity, economic or social status, and physiological, genetic and biometric information.

d. Any information you add to the platform, including:

i. Your profile description and image

ii. All contributions to all of the conversations for which you are registered. This includes any personal information you chose to share.


5. How we use your personal data


a. To create your profile. This enables you to join the conversation.

b. To keep you updated. Your contact information will be used to send you updates, in order to ensure that you get the most out of the conversation.

c. To place cookies on your device. This enables you to access the conversation more quickly by remembering your preferences. You can find our cookie policy at 12.

d. To improve your experience. Understanding how users interact with the platform helps us improve and develop, and so makes your connected learning experience better.

e. To let you know about future conversations that may be of interest to you.


6. The lawful basis for using your data


a. We process your data (4) in the manner described above (5) in order to fulfil our contractual obligation to supply you with the specified training session/s.

b. We have a legal responsibility to share your personal data with the appropriate authorities if required.


7. How we share your data


a. With Google Analytics. This allows us to understand how the platform is used, and so improve the user experience.

b. With other users. Any information you add to your profile or mention in conversation, including personal data, will be available to all other participants in the same conversation(s). You contributions to conversations will feature on transcripts generated from these conversations.

c. We may transfer your data to the appropriate authority if required to do so by law.


8. How long we hold your data for


a. Your personal data will be held for as long as you are a registered user.

b. You can delete your account at any time. This will erase all of your data from our platform and back-end systems, including your contributions to conversations. See 9.c.


9. Your rights over your data


The GDPR regulations enshrine the rights of you, the user, over your personal data. This means that you can:

a. Ask to see all the personal data we have on you. Once you have verified your identity, we will provide a copy of all the personal data we hold about you, free of charge, within a month of your request. This copy will be transportable, should you wish to share it with other organisations.

b. Correct your information. If there is data that we hold on you that is incorrect, contact us and we will correct it. We will make sure that those parties we have shared your data with (7) also correct their information. While you are a registered user, you will always be able to edit your profile information.

c. Ask us to erase some or all of your data.

i. As long as there is not a legal or contractual reason which prevents us doing so, we will delete your profile and your personal data. This will erase all of your data (or all your data that you ask us to erase) from the platform and backend systems, including your contributions to conversations.

ii. If we are prevented from deleting some of your personal data by a contractual or legal obligation, we will inform you of this. We will let you know what data we are holding, why, where it is being stored and how it is being used.

d. Additionally, in the unlikely event of a data breach, we will inform you of what information was compromised and what we are doing to rectify the situation.

10. Your right to complain about the use of your data


Should you be unhappy with the use of your data at any time, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervising authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office. 11. Changes to our Privacy Policy


We may, as appropriate, make changes to our Privacy Policy. These will be highlighted on the platform. If we make material changes to the way we use your data, we will inform you by asking you to review the Privacy Policy again.


12. Cookie Policy


a. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or device by the Hubub platform when you visit certain parts of the platform and/or when you use certain features of the platform.

b. Cookies are used to improve your experience on the platform. We have carefully chosen these cookies and taken steps to ensure that your privacy is protected and respected at all times.

c. All cookies used by the platform are used in accordance with current UK and EU Cookie Law.

d. You will be presented with a request for your consent before the platform places cookies on your computer or device. Consenting to cookie placement enables us to provide you with a better service and experience. If you refuse the placement of cookies, certain platform features may not function as intended.

e. The platform may place the following cookies:

i. Session cookie. This is used to remember use and maintain the session whilst you are using the platform.

ii. Google Analytics. This helps us to analyse how the platform is used so that we can improve the user experience.

iii. Intercom. This is used to support our online chat mechanism so we can support users while they are on the platform.

f. You can delete the cookies we place at any time. However, you may lose any information that enables you to access the platform more quickly and efficiently. This includes, but is not limited to, personalisation settings.
